Symptoms

When attempting to run the dbsetup.bat (/.sh) Database Setup Wizard to create a new P6 database, the following error occurs.

RunTimeException: Error in Create the SQL Server tablespaces for Project Manager: RuntimeException (Error in Run SQL Script sspm_init_db.sql : DatabaseToolException (The CREATE DATABASE statement failed. The primary file must be at least 1000 MB to accommodate a copy of the model database.)) (Error in Create the SQL Server tablespaces for Project Manager: RuntimeException (Error in Run SQL Script sspm_init_db.sql : DatabaseToolException (The CREATE DATABASE statement failed. The primary file must be at least 1000 MB to accommodate a copy of the model database.)))

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
   1. Run dbsetup.bat from the database folder of the EPPM media (ex. P6EPPM-<version>\Database).
   2. Select Create a new database and the Microsoft SQL Server database type.
   3. Note reported error.
