Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.21.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The dm_malloc issue as results of PCM_OP_BILL_ITEM_ADJUSTEMENT are too big due to which High Water Mark warnings were seen in the log. it retrieves over 80000 events
The one single PCM_OP_SEARH is using up a large part of the dmo shared memory. This number of events could increase, especially for large accounts.
They cannot increase the dmo shared memory size forever. System memory is limited on a machine.
It is needed the OOB code to use STEP-SEARCH for that opcode, so it will not consume all the available memory for a single call.
