E2B(R2) Attachment Is Not Generated (Doc ID 2589671.1)

Symptoms

E2B(R2) attachments are generated but do not get placed in the incoming folder.


The E2B transmission log file included the following information:

17-Sep-2019 12:00:52 AM DEFAULT : Error Function Generate_New_Attachment Error No - -2147023827, Error - Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {<CLSID>} failed due to the following error: 8007042d.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create an E2B ready case
2. Add a row in the Case Form > Additional Information > Notes and Attachments section
3. Schedule an E2B (R2) report and save the case
4. Transmit the E2B report from the Reports > Bulk Reporting screen
5. Observe that the system transmits the E2B report, but does not create the E2b attachment file in the Attachment Outgoing Folder

Occurrence Pattern: consistent.

The error message: 8007042d indicates a logon fault when attempting to access the service responsible for enabling viewing of the pdf file which was being processed as an attachment.
