How to Configure Quota Balances for Quota Notifications (Doc ID 2590678.1)

Last updated on MARCH 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC), it is possible to configure Quota Balance Types (QBT) that can be used to track usage and trigger real time wallet notifications (RTWN) once a configurable percentage has been consumed.

The QBT functionality isn't clearly documented so this article will explain how to set up and use this functionality.

This article will also only cover the Charging Control Services (CCS) configuration for adding a QBT and using it in an existing rated service.  It assumes the Advanced Control Services (ACS) setup has been done (Control Plan, Notification configuration), along with the initial setup of a rated CCS service and CCS subscribers.
