Symptoms
UCUM units case sensitivity not recognized by CFG_M2 table for E2B R3 xml reports
In generating E2B R3 xml reports, user observed that the UCUM units are case sensitive (codes). For example, in the UCUM codelist, 'h' represents 'Hour' which is applicable for Lab test unit. 'H' represents 'Hertz' as a lab test unit. Following are more examples of Lab test units which are found in the CFG_M2 table:
PROBLEM:
When the actual report is created and reviewed in a decoded output, for example, an eVAERS draft report, only the upper-case coded value is present.
For example, in the screen shot below in field F.r.3.3, 's' which should show 'seconds' instead displays 'Siemens'.
Code 'S' correctly displays 'Siemens'.
Since the data stored in the CFG_M2 table and collected via UI allows the code to be case sensitive, the displayed values in the decoded output should also show the correct coded value.
