Error Message 46 "Any one of the leaves value should be selected" When Applying ALM Application Preferences (Doc ID 2598828.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to ALM 8.0.6 or higher, you cannot update the ALM Application Preference data.  After changing the As of Date, you the get the error below when trying to apply the change:

Message: 46
Message: Any one of the leaves value should be selected

 

As a result, you cannot make any changes to Application Preferences via the user interface.
