For Two Users With Buyer Privileges Only One Can Search And View Orders (Doc ID 2638722.1)

Last updated on JUNE 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 16.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There is an RMS(Retail Merchandising System) role with privileges to only search and view orders.
However, users with this role cannot open the orders CFAs(Custom Flex Attributes) screen.

Users with an Admin role (with the privileges to search, view, create, edit, submit, approve and close) can open the orders CFAs screen.
Two roles for buyers exist: TRU_RMS_BUYER_JOB, and a read-only role TRU_RMS_VIEW_JOB.
Both have the duty RMS_CUSTOM_FLEX_ATTRIBUTES_INQUIRY_DUTY.
However, only the TRU_RMS_BUYER_JOB role can open the orders for CFAs screen.

The difference between the 2 roles are the following:

TRU_RMS_BUYER_JOB:
- RMS_PURCHASE_ORDER_APPROVAL_DUTY
- RMS_PURCHASE_ORDER_INQUIRY_DUTY
- RMS_PURCHASE_ORDER_MGMT_DUTY

TRU_RMS_VIEW_JOB:
- RMS_PURCHASE_ORDER_INQUIRY_DUTY

 Steps to reproduce:

  1. Login to RMS with a user with permissions to edit orders.
  2. Go to the Manage Orders screen, search for all orders and select one.
  3. Press the CFAs button and confirm that the CFAs screen opens.
  4. Logout and login to RMS with a user with permissions to only view orders.
  5. Go to the Manage Orders screen, search for all orders and select one.
  6. Press the CFAs button and confirm that the CFAs screen does not open.
