Last updated on APRIL 08, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.21.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The user would like to go with zero or near-zero downtime of Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) system. For this scenario, there will be 2 servers running BRM (cm, dm_oracle). Both servers share the same database.
Whether there will be an database issue on accessing(read/write) the object from application and performing Data Definition Language(DDL) (adding column using pin_deploy, creating index) on the same object simultaneously?
During the deployments:
One Server (Ex. Server A) will be used for regular applications and other Server(ex. Server B) will be used for deployment.
After Deployment, Server B will be restarted and used for Applications, Then will restart Server A.
Once both servers are up and running load will be balanced.
