Symptoms

Developer Center is a suite of applications that enables developers to add a storable class and fields, test and run an opcode, view the contents of an object in the Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) database, and map data from an event log file to objects in the BRM database.

In a certain scenario, the following issues were discovered while using this client tool from BRM 12.0 version.

I) When trying to modify a saved Universal Event Loader (UEL) template, the following error is displayed:

"The template is corrupt and cannot be opened".

Note: This is working fine when using BRM 7.5 Developer Center client tool.

Steps:

1. Log in to Developer Center as root.0.0.0.1 account
2. Navigate to Tools > UEMapper
3. Choose "Modify Template" option and choose an existing Template
4. Click on Modify button

Result: Error message shown above is displayed

II) In "Event Load Opcode", when an array field is used (e.g. PIN_FLD_CHARGES or PIN_FLD_DISCOUNTS), it is not possible to assign an integer value. The following error message is displayed:

"Field must be mapped to a valid column or set to an integer".

Note: This is working fine when using BRM 7.5 Developer Center client tool.

Steps:

1. Log in to Developer Center as root.0.0.0.1 account
2. Navigate to Tools > UEMapper
3. Choose "New Template"
4. On "Event Load Opcode" window, pick an array field (e.g. PIN_FLD_CHARGES or PIN_FLD_DISCOUNTS) and choose to assign an integer value

Result: Error message above is displayed
