Securing SocketConnection To Network Element (Doc ID 2681028.1)

Last updated on JUNE 17, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Communications ASAP - Version 7.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

There is a requirement to secure all ASAP connections to the Network Elements.

Currently, connection for cartridge is defined in the following way:

The cartridge basically, opens a socket to the NE and send raw commands as simple strings on that socket (included also a login command as first thing, and a logout command as last)

So, plan is to secure this communication using a TLS and a trustore.

We may have to perform the System.setProperty calls before to invoke the super.connect() call.
