Dynacomp & Documerge Questions (Doc ID 2685224.1)

Goal

So I have few questions:
1- Do we need to have DYNACOMP in order to run DOCUMERGE ?
2- If yes, then how can I get a new DYNACOMP installation ?
3- Current DOCUMERGE version is V3.2.3 I believe ? Is it worthwhile to install V3.2.3, to upgrade from V3.2.1 ?
