Symptoms

MetaSolv Solution 6.3

Issues with Group Connections in the Connection Hierarchy window.

Issue #1 – Unable to navigate Connection Hierarchy from parent connectivity through LAG to virtual connections. If I search for a parent Optical connection that is used to design one of the Link Aggregation Member connections, I can navigate down to the member circuit. However, I’m unable to see the LAG the member is associated with, or retrieve the virtual connections assigned to the LAG. This causes a break in the hierarchy. The expected behavior is that I should be able to see the LAG, then continue down the hierarchy to the assigned virtual connections.

Issue #2 – Unable to navigate up through Connection Hierarchy from a virtual connection through a LAG. If I search for a virtual connection that is assigned to a Link Aggregation Group using the “Up” option in hierarchy, I can retrieve the parent LAG for the virtual, but I’m unable to navigate past the LAG. The members of the LAG are assigned to parent Optical connections and the expected behavior would be that we should be able to continue up the hierarchy to the assigned Optical transport.

Issue #3 – ‘Show Members’ right-click option is grayed out if you have previously expanded the LAG.
