Goal

There is valid IMAP SEARCH syntax which could be handled by ISS, but is not because ISS does not support that syntax (or imapd is unable to convert).

Does the Elastic search code do exactly the same? Or, is it better able to translate IMAP SEARCH syntax into Elastic search queries?

In other words, should we expect more searches to go to Elastic search than we were seeing go to ISS?
