Symptoms

Using Agile PLM 9.3.6.0 version, the administrator is not able to start the Agile File Manager Service (AgileFM) Windows Service after upgrading the Java Runtime Environment (JRE). While trying to start the AgileFM service the following error message pops up :

Error :

"Windows could not start the Apache Tomcat 8 AgileFM on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to the service-specific error code 1."

The Apache Tomcat 8.5 Tomcat8 service terminated with the following service-specific error:

Incorrect function.

The following appears in the \FileManager\logs\commons-daemon.log

Agile will not restart after updating Java on our test server. I am getting an Event Error that says the Service terminated with the following service-specific error: Incorrect Function.


Steps to Reproduce :

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1.Upgrade JRE
2. Try to start the AgileFM service
3. The above error shows up thus preventing the start of the AgileFM service

Changes

 Upgrade the JRE where the File Manager is installed.
