Active Sessions Are Created With Start_t As 0 (Doc ID 2712326.1)

Symptoms

In a scenario where a customer is having a long data session, which could last for more than a day, there is customized code to split the ongoing session if the session continued for the next day and to perform accounting calculations on the previous day usage. For the first re-authorization of the day for the long data session, a data usage event will be recorded by calling the  PCM_OP_ACT_END_SESSION opcode in order to record a data usage charging event and update the subscriber's balances. As the existing data session will be deleted, a new data session will be created by calling PCM_OP_ACT_REAUTHORIZE afterwards in order to track further data usage.

To maintain the session integrity with network, the existing session will be closed by suffixing the session_id with the current timestamp calling PCM_OP_ACT_END_SESSION. Once the existing session is closed, new data session (with the same original session_id of network) will automatically be created by the PCM_OP_ACT_REAUTHORIZE.

In this scenario, reservation objects are not getting created as the account does not have any valid data balance available, getting the below error in connection manager (CM) pinlog:
