Negative ACK for eVAERS C.2.r.3 Reporter's Country Code Containing NullFlavor NASK (Doc ID 2721121.1)

Goal

As part of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) received a Negative acknowledgement for eVAERS report due to the lack of codeSystem for one of the C.2.r.3 Reporter's Country Code elements which had a NullFlavor.

Below is the response from FDA.

C.2.r.3 Reporters Country Code: 11: ERROR: The data element must contain a valid value or a valid nullFlavor.
And Country Code is not accepted for NASK Nullflavor.


There are 3 iterations of Reporter information in eVAERS output that received this negative ACK :

Note: The last (3rd iteration) Reporter Country Code (C.2.r.3 does not have the codesystem, which is a required parameter to identify Reporter’s country.
