When Trying to Cancel a Checkout File Attachment the Error " This version is in use and cannot be canceled" Appears (Doc ID 2728307.1)

Symptoms

An attachment on a Design object is left in Checkout status and the user is no longer available to chancel the checkout.
When the administrator tries to cancel the Checkout status an error appears "This version is in use and cannot be cancelled"

Steps:

  1. Log into Web client and open an Item which has a checked out file attachment
  2. Highlight the row and click the Cancel Checkout button
  3. Error "This version is in use and cannot be cancelled"
