Last updated on MAY 09, 2023

Applies to:

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version 17.12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

After multiple database tables have been configured for auditing on the Application Settings > Audit page in P6 Web, no audit data is generated in the PAUDIT database table when users make changes to projects.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The PAUDIT database table should contain audit data reflecting the changes to project data.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Web, navigate to Administration > Application Settings > Audit.
  2. Add the CHGTRSRC, TASK, TASKACTV, and USESSION tables and configure auditing for inserts, updates, and deletes on them.
  3. Check the Enable auditing for selected tables box.
  4. Save the changes.
  5. Have a user login to P6, open a project, and modify some Activities.
  6. Query the PAUDIT table, note it contains no records.
