Symptoms

When using SSL with a Load Balancer/Proxy, attempting to view a file attachment from Agile using AutoVue, the following error occurs:

Error:

The AutoVue client did not start successfully. Please ensure that the server is running and the generated JNLP is launched. You can contact the system administrator for extending the delay required before assuming AutoVue startup failure.

The browser log (F12) will show the following error:

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://<machine_name>/Agile/PLMServlet?module=LoginHandler&opcode=forwardToMainMenu' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure XMLHttpRequest endpoint 'http://<machine_name>/Agile/VueRDVServlet?RequestType=INIT_SESSION'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

Steps:

  1. Try to view a file using AutoVue.
  2. Notice the error.
