Error:" Instance Manager is already open" When Using Chrome And Trying to open An Instance Manager More Than Once Without Logging Out (Doc ID 2770032.1)

Symptoms

On Agile PLM 9.3.6.15 Web Client and using Chrome browser users cannot open an Instance Manager more than once in the same session. The user needs to log off and log back in to Agile Web Client in order to use the same instance manager.

This issue does not occur when using another browser such as FireFox.

Steps to Reproduce :

1- Login to the Web client using Chrome browser

2- Click the My Settings button, or open the user profile you want to configure.

3- Select the Preferences tab.

4- In the System Preferences section ensure that the BOM Variant Configuration Preference is set to Internal Configurator.

5- Create a Model part (say MOD00001) and add instances to it in the instance tab

6- Open an Instance Manager from the instance tab by clicking Launch Configurator

 

 

 

7- Close by clicking the "close" button or the top "X" of the Chrome Window

8- Work on something else in Web Client

9- Then the user try to open another instance in the Instance Manager and gets error  "Instance Manager is already open"

 

 

10- This error does not occur when using another browser such as Firefox
