Why Is There A Difference Between R2 and R3 Null Flavors Outputs In XML Files (Doc ID 2771353.1)

Last updated on JULY 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety - Version 8.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why does the XML output for R2 files contain no data for Null Flavored data (MSK, ASKU, NASK, UNK) and in R3 files the Null Flavored data (MSK, ASKU, NASK, UNK) is there?

Example:
Create E2B ready Case
Enter Patient Initials
Generate R2 E2B
The Initials are in the XML

Change the initials to Null Flavor (MSK, ASKU, NASK, UNK)
Generate R2 E2B
The Initials are NOT in the XML

With the initials still set to Null Flavor (MSK, ASKU, NASK, UNK)
Generate R3 E2B
The Initials in the XML show as Masked (MSK, ASKU, NASK, UNK)
