uDesigner Designed Validation Rules Triggered Before Clicking On Save Or Finish Editing (Doc ID 2776010.1)

On Unifier : Version 18.8.17

After uDesigner designed Validation Rules has been deployed for a Business Process (BP):

Expected Result

The Form Validation should be triggered when the user clicks on Send (workflow type BP) and/or Finish Editing (non-workflow type BP).

Actual Result

When trying to Save record data - without clicking on Send and/or Finish Editing, the following Alert pops up:

Show this message when this validation rule is not met*

*Where the verbiage in the pop-up has been defined in the Validation Rules configuration in uDesigner

It is noted that the Alert also pops up when clicking on the tab for the Line Item Detail Form to add the data.

Steps To Reproduce

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into the Unifier environment
2. Navigate to the corresponding Project
3. Add a record
4. Try to save without a Line Item
5. An alert pops up that a Line Item must be added
6. Try to add a Line Item
7. The same alert pops up that a Line Item must be added
