Symptoms

DB import log has errors.


ERROR

ORA-02374: conversion error loading table
ORA-12899: value too large for column **** (actual: 28, maximum: 20)



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Export and Import the DB into the target Oracle Cloud Infrastructure(OCI)
2. Import log has the following message:
import done in AL32UTF8 character set and AL16UTF16 NCHAR character set
export done in AL32UTF8 character set and UTF8 NCHAR character set
Warning: possible data loss in character set conversions
ORA-02374: conversion error loading table
ORA-12899: value too large for column **** (actual: 28, maximum: 20)
