History Records of Discussion Object Is Not Found in ITEM_HISTORY Table (Doc ID 2782062.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

Java Client > Admin tab > Data Settings > Discussion > User Interface tab > History shows Action field: ITEM_HISTORY.ACTION.
However, the History record for Discussion object cannot be found in ITEM_HISTORY table

Expected Behavior

History record for Discussion object cannot be found in ITEM_HISTORY table

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Java Client as admin user, and go to Admin tab > Data Settings > Discussion > User Interface tab > History. See the Action field is pointing to: ITEM_HISTORY.ACTION.
  2. Log into Web Client, and create Discussion
  3. Run below sql. Cannot find any data related to Discussion object:
