Maintain Baselines Intermittently Creates Corrupted Baselines (Doc ID 2788841.1)

Symptoms

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM:
Intermittently, project baselines created using the maintain baselines feature are corrupted. They show a blank description and the BL dates are not created.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Login to P6 Professional
2. Open a project.
3. Go to 'Project > Maintain Baselines'.
4. Choose 'Add' then 'Save a copy of the current project as a new baseline'.
5. Allow the baseline job to be processed by P6 Services.

The following error is thrown in the P6 Web\P6 Services logs.

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Transaction (Process ID nn) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

NOTE: This issue is specific to Microsoft SQL Server databases and cannot be reproduced 100% of the time.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Corrupted baselines to not be created.

POTENTIAL WORKAROUNDS:
Delete the corrupted baseline then recreate it.
