Provide A More Robust And Performant Solution For SLC Based Profile Changes (Doc ID 2793177.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 12.0.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer facing issues when profile data is modified on one SLC node.
it appears that the replication process that is initiated is slow (we learned this is governed by the "_job_queue_interval” parameter which can be set to one second at the minimum).

As a result, for example, an immediately subsequent access to the modified profile information might not obtain a correct value (we observed this), and I believe other bad things can happen when profile info is updated concurrently in a very small time.

A way to address this could be to provide a way to perform "synchronous replication updates" to prioritize profile updates and wait for completion before continuing service logic or returning a result.
