How To Rollback From CalDAV 8 To CalDAV 7? (Doc ID 2799146.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Calendar Server - Version 8.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Qn1: How can we rollback from Calendar Server (CS) 8.x (backend DB schema version 10) to CS 7.x (backend DB schema version 9) when both servers are pointing to the same database?

Qn2: In our lab environment, we have already performed the upgrade of Calendar Server 8 with Weblogic on a separate server but are using the same backend database (that has the replication of the  primary and secondary DBs). How can we rollback to the backend database (version=9) for Calendar 7.x, if we now remove the replication of the primary and secondary DBs and separate the databases for CS7.x and CS8.x?

Qn3: Does configuring (using init-config) on Calendar Server (CS) 8.x also alter the LDAP proxy passwords? It was observed that after re-configuration of CS8.x+Weblogic, the Convergence options for admin proxies no longer worked and had to be reconfigured.

Note: Earlier, Convergence was pointing to the CS7.x+Glassfish host with /wcap as the service URI, whereas the service URI on CS8.x was pointing to /davserver/wcap. The rest of the admin credentials were identical.

Qn4: How can we export the data from the CS7.x DB and import that same data to the CS8.x DB? At some point, we have to sync the data between running CS7.x with DB version 9 and CS8.x with DB version 10, because customers will be "adding, deleting, changing, writing" on DB CS7.x.
