Rich Text Fields Are Not Stored In Database (Table) Until The Status Is Closed

Symptoms
Although reported on version 21.x, the reported behavior is a design of the product from the beginning, solution provided below.
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
A record is created and forwarded to the workflow steps. When checked against Database, until the record has reached the last step(i.e., Status=Closed), the database is not reflecting the Data stored in Rich Text Fields.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
The expected behavior is that the "Rich Text Fields" in the database display updated information as the record moves through the workflow.
