Last updated on MARCH 08, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (NCC), version,

Diameter Control Agent (DCA) core dumped when processing the Credit Control Request (CCR) EVENT_REQUEST Received from Network. This is observed when DCA processes the EVENT_REQUEST with no Requested Service Units (RSU) and the Multiple-Services-Credit-Control (MSCC) Indicator is set.

When the Event Request is send without the MSCC indicator, DCA is processing the message without any issues.

DCA should process the CCR EVENT_REQUEST with MSCC indicator set without any issue.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. On NCC 12.0.4 Version, send a CCR-Event Request to DCA with MSCC indicator set and without any RSU value.
2. Check if DCA has dumped Core while processing the Event Request.
3. Also try sending a CCR Event Request without the MSCC Indicator set. and verify if DCA is processing the Event Request without any issue.
