Symptoms
When loading dimension data using the DRM Dimension Data Loader (fn_drmDataLoader), the utility allows loading special characters to the member name and description fields. You cannot enter the same special characters via the User Interface.
For example, you cannot enter the special characters &, ', or " (ampersand, single quote, double quote) when creating the dimension member name via the interface but the characters can be loaded to the name field without error.
Similarly, you cannot enter the special characters ~&+' "@ in the description field but they can be loaded without error.
You expect the Dimension Loader to error or flag the bad record when loading a value with a restricted character.
