Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.3.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Users are experiencing slow performance in the GUI when supplementing orders and conducting task maintenance. Users state the GUI takes greater than 3 minutes to open the window for the next step. The performance problem appears to be related to users connecting their tbs.exe client to the application server(s) through a load balancer. If the user experiencing the problem configures their tbs.ini file to connect directly to an individual application server, the GUI slowness no longer occurs.
Users may also report Red Xs on the Task Maintenance window's PERT Chart tab versus the expected rectangular box graphic that represent each task.
- Task Maintenance via 'w_task_generate_response_maint' window - Work Queue Manager > Right-click task > Select "Service Request Tasks..." > PERT Chart tab
- Task Maintenance via 'w_task_generate' window - Service Request Search > Right-click order > Select "Task Maintenance..." > PERT Chart tab
Example Depiction Below
RED [X] ----> RED [X] ----> RED [X] ----> RED [X]
versus
[APP] ----> [CKTID] ----> [DLRD] ----> [DD]
Changes
