Goal

This document provides information about additional privileges required for the ASAP user when running MetaSolv Solution 6.3.1 on Oracle Database 19c.

MetaSolv Solution 6.3.1 is supported to run on Oracle Database *12cR2, 18c and 19c. However, the ASAP user requires additional privileges when running on Oracle Database 19c. These were part of the application's "DB 19c certification". Instructions to accomplish this by running a specific prodfixsql script are documented in two "Granting Required Privileges for ASAP" sections of the in the 6.3.1 Installation Guide, but there is nothing in the text that associates the requirement with running on Oracle Database 19c nor does the contents of the script itself. Information about the additional privileges requirement is not documented in the 6.3.1 What's New, Release Notes or Planning Guide documents either.
