Symptoms
On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C or 3C) up to an including 12.0.5.0, when a large number of Virtual Private Network (VPN) Networks and Stations are provisioned, usability limitations become apparent.
After opening the VPN screens, under Edit → Station, change the Customer to the VPN Network/Station owner, and observe:
- When entering a Station prefix into the Station dropdown list/box, only the list displayed in the Station dropdown is filtered based on the prefix. The table is not filtered.
- If the prefix matches some Stations, then a tick is shown to the right of the box and the entered digits remain in the dropdown list/box. However if an invalid prefix is entered, the tick is replaced with a "?" and the entered prefix is deleted.
- Once the station dropdown list has been filtered down to the stations of interest, selecting a station does not affect the table which only displays 100 stations. If the station of interest does not appear in the initial 100 stations, it is not possible to view/edit the station.
Due to these issues, it is (in some circumstances) impossible to search and find stations.
