The Connection String Field in the P6 Professional Database Configuration Window Does Not Accept Valid Entries (Doc ID 2882128.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When entering a valid Oracle Database link in the Connection String field of the Database Configuration utility, the field remains highlighted in red and doesn't accept the entry.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The Connection String field should accept a valid database string entry.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch the Database Configuration utility.
  2. Add a new alias, or highlight an existing one to update it.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow for the Driver Type field and select Oracle Database.
  4. Enter the Connection String info.
  5. Note the reported issue.
