Convergence Address Book Group Appears Different Than When Viewed Through An Ldapsearch Of The Group
(Doc ID 2883040.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 3.0.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
A mailing list exists in LDAP. A user can access this mailing list via the Convergence address book by going to Address Book -> Corporate Directory -> Groups.
For this one particular mailing list, when viewing the group in LDAP (via an ldapsearch of the group), there are 22 uniqueMember users listed. But, when viewing this same group within the Convergence Address Book, there are 35 members of the group.
For some reason, there is a mismatch in the number of members which appear in this group.
Other facts:
- - this group was created via an LDIF which was then imported into the Directory Server.
- - only Convergence clients access this group through Convergence - ie. there are no Windows clients or other applications accessing it.
- - the problem only exists for this one mailing list.
- - the Convergence server is pointing directly to the back-end Directory Server.
It is expected that when an email is sent to the group, all members of that group will receive a copy of the email.
