Symptoms

 MSS 6.3.1   Equipment/Connection Design

=============================

In the Equipment specification window’s port address tab page, if the node address has the '<' or '>' character, users face issues in saving the CLR/DLR design info. The same problem occurs for the node address field in the equipment window’s port address tab and equipment tab also.

1. The connection design does not  save as a NEW ISSUE. It goes through the motions, but the issue count does not increase by 1 as it should. The connection design seems to be stuck  current issue.

2. The connection design refuses to save as a CURRENT ISSUE if  a user makes any change to the CLR design. If he just opens the CLR design and do nothing, then tell it to save current issue , that seems okay as no change was made. However, if he goes   into reconcile view and tell it to re-add a facility from the background to the CLR design  , he then gets error messages when attempts to save as current issue.
