Goal

You need to add a new curve to your ALM Implementation for new business records.  The curve needs to be added to certain products in certain regions represented by Legal Entity Id.  How can you add the new curve to the Product Characteristics definition?

In the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) application you can achieve this using a Conditional Assumption but that option is not available in ALM.  Additionally, you currently have multiple ALM Processes, each for a different Legal Entity ID, as you need Legal Entity ID to be output to the RES_DTL_xxxxxx table.

You do not want to create a separate Product Characteristics rule for the new curve as that would require adding a new set of ALM Processes to run with it.  This could double the processing time potentially.
