Goal
While deleting the user we are using below REST API call as mentioned in Admin guide.
/rest-api/idm/service/delete/user
If any groups are mapped to the user, then this delete call fails and system expects to first remove the groups mapped to the user using a different REST API call. Then only the above API call succeeds. This needs a practical approach where "delete user" functionality is expected to be a 1-step process.
