Auto-Created Business Process Line Item Calculates the Number of Days Based on Calendar Days When Using Date Difference Formula Based on 'Work Days' (Doc ID 2905246.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 28, 2022

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier - Version 21.12 to 21.12.9.0 [Release 21.12]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Create one data element configured with a formula that takes the Date Difference between "Start Date" and "Finish Date" fields and displays this difference based on 'Work Days'.

Add this data element to both BP-A line item form and BP-B line item form, design BP-A auto creates BP-B's Line item records.

BP-A line item shows the correct date difference based on the setup but the same field shows incorrect date difference on the target BP-B line item record.

BP-A calculates the date difference based on "Work Days" but when it goes to BP-B, date difference is calculated based on 'Calendar Days'

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login unifier.
  2. Setup date difference formula on both source BP line item and target BP line item to calculate date difference based on 'Work Days'.
  3. Source BP calculate correct based on working day, but target BP calculate date difference including non-working day.
