Symptoms
On Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) 12.0.0.2.0 version, while posting payment for one of the Business Accounts, below error is found on item_t table for event poid list column.
The billing account is having large pending items to allocate. The payment allocation failed to update the /item event poid list, as it is exceeding event poid list column size.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Take a Billing account having large number of pending items to allocate, post payment via Payment Tool
2. Check if it is getting failed during the allocation while trying to update /item event poid list and reports the mentioned Error
