Error 'Unable to load data. An unknown error has occurred.' After P6 Web Login (Doc ID 2906478.1)

Symptoms

After logging in to P6 Professional, the following error occurs:

Unable to load data.
An unknown error has occurred.

The following error can be captured via the browser's Developer Console (F12):

Request URL: https://abc.com.cn/p6/rest/projects/gridData/load
Request Method: POST
Status Code:403 Forbidden
Remote Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

The following error is also generated in the browser's HAR log:

An invalid value was detected for ''.  Click the browser's back button to return to the previous page.

Additional information:

The pages load as expected when the Nginx proxy is removed.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Web, navigate to the EPS view.
  2. Observe the reported error.
  3. Remove the proxy settings in Nginx.
  4. Login to P6 Web again, views now load successfully.
