Questions About Cycle-On-Demand Behavior (Doc ID 2910125.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 18, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version 11.2.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

During Cycle-On-Demand Functionality testing, the following 2 scenarios were observed:

1. When Activity A uses an Auto-Processing ActivitySequence to create and process Activity B, where Activity B is configured to use ProcessByCycle, Activity A encounters an Activity Sequence Error.

2. When an Activity uses ProcessByCycle to Auto-Process its spawned Activities, the UI updates to show the new status indicating that the Activity is being processed by Cycle. When the process completes, the screen does not refresh to let the user know that the process has completed. This works correctly for other long running processes like Auto-Processing Activity Sequences. The UI should update and release controls back to the user when an Activity using ProcessByCycle is complete and moved to Active Status, if the user is still on the screen.
