Worklist Contacts And Letters - Aware Date and Due Date Incorrect. (Doc ID 2914645.1)

Last updated on JULY 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Life Sciences Argus Safety - Version 8.2.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Via Argus [Worklist] > Contacts (Contacts and Letters) the  "Aware date" currently displays the initial receipt date of the case and the due date displays the date on which the contact log was created.

However, users are expecting to see the creation date of the contact log as the aware date - rather than the initial receipt date.

Besides this, if the case has a significant follow-up, this is not reflected. Argus always takes considers only the initial receipt date here.

Additionally, for the due date, it is not clear how this should be calculated for a contact log, as no due date is actually entered in this section (other than with action items).

Location of fields shown in screenshot below:

Steps to reproduce for two example records where 2 letters have been sent

1. CASE_A  Aware Date: 12-OCT-2018 Due Date: 15-Oct-2020
2. CASE A  Aware Date:  12-OCT-2018 Due Date: 14-Oct-2020

On opening CASE_A, via the [General] tab for the case, the Initial Receipt Date is 12-OCT-2018, so that is used as an Aware Date regardless of any significant Follow-up that exist for the case (which they do)

On the [Activities] tab fir the same case, it shows the contact log dates for each letter are being used as the due date.

To confirm if the significant Follow-ups are used, add a new letter with today's date (so after the last significant FU on this case)

3. Worklist > Contacts (Contacts and Letters)

Three records are now showing

1. CASE_A Aware Date: 12-OCT-2018 Due Date: 15-Oct-2020
2. CASE_A Aware Date: 12-OCT-2018 Due Date: 14-Oct-2020
3. CASE_A Aware Date: 12-OCT-2018 Due Date: 28-Nov-2020

So the last letter does not pick up the most recent significant FU date that exists in the case.

Similarly if the below query is run for the case (run query as Argus Schema owner):

The expectation is that the case_worklist AWARE_DATE is used, however this is not the case.

There is also one other consideration that may affect this via:

[Argus Console] > [System Configuration] > System Management (Common Profile Switches) > Case Processing

Receipt Date to Display in Worklist:

Change this to the second option, and re-log into application

This makes no difference and the initial receipt date is still used here.
