Importing XLSX To P6 Professional Fails With AVAA0 Error "Access violation at address xxxxxx in module PM.EXE" (Doc ID 2916366.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to import the XLSX that is exported from P6 and changed with new data,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

Event Code: AVAA0-1207-C
Message:
  Access violation at address 00000000020B3C80 in module
  'PM.EXE'. Read of address 0000000000000000

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log on P6 Professional.
  2. Open a project and export it to a XLSX.
  3. Clear contents of the data rows from XLSX and populated with new rows.
  4. Import the new XLSX to P6 Professional to update existing project.
  5. The import fails with above error.
