Event Browser: Event Selection Anomaly in Accounts With Many Events (Doc ID 2916613.1)

In Customer Center for Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) 12 Patch Set (PS) 8, the user observes some anomalies when select event in Event Browser for accounts with over 40000 events.
Upon highlights the events in Event Browser and clicks on Edit/Mark, then it does not check the checkboxes. Events only get selected (check-box marked) after the user clicks on a random event. 

Steps to reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open Customer Center
2. Menu Edit/Event Browser
3. Choose the Account template
4. Enter acct number and click Search
5. Sort the events by date with the newest event up top
6. Highlight the latest events (3,4 events), do not check
7. Click Edit/Mark Event => Result: You will not see the checkbox mark until you click an event.
8. Choose View/Show Marked Events => RESULT: Error "There are no marked events to display."
