P6 Allows Duplicate Activity Relationships (Doc ID 2922336.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

When two users are entering relationships on the same activity, and one of them exits P6, duplicate relationships are written to the database.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Duplicate relationships should not be allowed.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. User A and User B both open the same project.
  2. Both users select the same activity, activity 1.
  3. User A creates a FS successor relationship from activity 1 to activity 2, then immediately closes out of P6.
  4. Without refreshing, User B creates a FS successor relationship from activity 1 to activity 2.
  5. User B refreshes data.
  6. There are now two identical relationships.
