Agile e6 Server Installation Fails with Error "Ant Exeption Occurs!! Message:Createwinuser Failed" (Doc ID 2922786.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the Agile e6 installer,  the following error shown in the installer GUI

"Ant exeption occurs!! Message"createwinuser failed"

Fact

On the installer_error.log, below message is displayed


Executing Command "createwinuser"
Properties: User: axalantrt, Group: , Home: , Fullname: ${plm.userdefinition.unpriv_fullname}, Comment: Unprivileged User for Agile EDM
** Trycatchexception: **
 ExtendedFail(1101):Error while creating a Windows User.
Adding the user 'axalantrt' failed with the Windows error code: 2245


Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Start the installer.
  2. Select an Installation Set : Agile e6 Server
  3. Select New Installation and click Next.
  4. Select Server (Daemons, Application)  and Server (J2EE Components) and click Next.
  5. Proceed to enter fields in Daemon Component Configuration window, and click Next
