RFI/RIB Incorrectly Updates the Exchange Rate from EBS to RMS
(Doc ID 2924724.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 31, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Retail Financial Integration - Version 15.0.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
There's an issue with the currency exchange rates coming from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).
The conversion rate of QAR to USD on 01-AUG-2022 in EBS was 0.270343336036767 but in RMS, the conversion rate came to 0.2609126725.
In the RIB message log, you can see both exchange rates. However, please check that RFI/RIB did not publish the updated exchange rates in RMS.
Steps to Recreate
-----------------------
1. Add an exchange rate for a currency in EBS.
2. Update the exchange rate to a slightly different value in EBS
3. Once RIB picks up the currency rates message, check in RMS tables
