Goal
Open the Product Notes pop-up by Clicking on flag in Product Information Header
The Database field CASE_LANGUAGE.TEXT is set to a CLOB
The actual field (Maltese in above example) in the UI only accepts 4963 characters
If the field is imported with more then 4963 characters the database accepts it with all characters in the field.
In 8.1.2, the Argus UI field shows all the characters
In 8.2.3, The Argus UI field shows all the characters unless you click anywhere on the browser (Outside the pop-up).
At that time the text is truncated to 4926 characters
Is this expected functionality?
Why the change where all the characters are not seen in 8.2.3?
Steps to Repeat:
1. Open Case and click the Products tab
2. Click on the flag in Product Information Header
3. Product Notes pop-up is displayed
4. Select Language: Maltese
5. Copy and Paste 5000+ characters into the Maltese field
6. Save and Close the case
7. Open the Case and click the Products tab
8. Click on the flag in Product Information Header
9. Product Notes pop-up is displayed
10. Select Language: Maltese
11. Maltese field is truncated to 4963 characters
Go to the Database and query the CASE_LANGUAGE.TEXT table for this case
All the entered characters are there.
