Size Of Email Increases When Comparing Between The MTA And The Store Servers (Doc ID 2936028.1)

Symptoms

The size of an email received by some users increases significantly as it makes its way from the MTA to the store server. 

Example:

The size of the message when received on the frontend MTA is 102KB:

 

In this scenario, a PostFix server was acting as the FE MTA and the BE Messaging Server was acting as the BE MTA and store server.

Due to this issue, there is not much space left on the store.  If this issue keeps occurring, the disk will be 100% utilized and thus will impact all of our customers.
